Dont be fooled that this is an "easy" hike just because its 1.5 miles to the top. It has an elevation gain of over 1000 feet within that 1.5 miles however its worth every step. Who cares if im a slow poke? Like i always say, "hike your own hike" and take your time as you go. Every time you stop, your greeted with breathtaking scenary. Especially in the fall as the aspens turn from green to a shimmering gold. This is a popular hike and i will admit, finding a parking spot here can be a challenge depending on when you come. Weekend hikes find more people here than any other times. I also recommend hiking poles as the surface is uneven. Better safe than sorry. I have the scars to prove it.
