Been meaning to update my review. So over the past year I have had quite the extensive experience with US Airways and feel more confident now in awarding a five star review.
Initially in the beginning of 2014 there were some rough patches with traveling US Air, and that I suppose was due in large part to the merger and the higher echelon horse shit that goes on when trying blend the two cultures of US Air and American. It's akin to trying to put a Marine and a Soldier in a locked room and tell them to get along. It's not easy at first. Had some issues early on with over sold flights and what seemed like logistical issues outside of the control of gate agents and ticketing folk. I commend the US air staff (and american) for dealing with our crap as consumers and travelers when these issues afflicted us. And I have had my share.
However, towards mid year and the Begginings of fall, seemed like the bigger kinks had been worked out and the customer service experience as well as the traveling experience seemed to have done, what a non traveling road warrior such as me, would have defined as a "180" turn around. But since I travel so much, seemed like I got to experience the growing pains. Traveling now is much easier with the blending of the airlines, the crews are always very pleasant (even when someone is clearly being a huge unjustified douche nozzle). The planes are always clean and cooled to a comfortable temperature. And I don't know what the big hoopla is over the express flights, I rather enjoy them. .
