I've eaten at Brassaii a few times between 2004 and Present. I keep forgetting why I don't like it - and now I remember: I find it "tries" a bit too hard to be somewhere between the decor of NYC Soho chic, and Euro - and the split-personality spills over to their menu as well. Aside from the fact it's extremely over-priced, the wait staff are generally cardboard without so much as a hint of having any personality let alone any opinion as to what they'd recommend.
Plastic, Vacuous without Substance, Contrived, Pseudo-Pretentious...and that's just the Food.
