I've had this place on my radar for quite some time but I could never get off my okole to drive up to North Vegas to try this place out. Luckily one day we were up in the neighborhood doing errands and this made a perfect opportunity..
I ordered a combo Kalbi & Garlic Chicken plate and the GF ordered the 808 mixed plate.
I was a little taken by surprise when they asked me how I wanted my Kalbi cooked. Bewildered I said medium-rare?
When my plate came out I understood why...
Kalbi steak action! The Kalbi was sliced thick and filleted like a steak! A welcome change from the usual 1/4" ones your get everywhere else. My kalbi steak was ono!
Their garlic chicken is different than what we all expect when we order it. It comes with this white garlic/mayo crack sauce on it. Onolisish anyways..
The 808 mixed plate is a good value. Nothing too crazy here: SPAM, teri beef and a choice of chicken. She got the sesame chicken which was onolish.
I know it sounds stupid but the star of the plate is the fried noodles. It reminds me manapua mans noodles back home.
I dig the food here but for me it's just too far for me to frequent all of the time but at least I know where to get local grindz when I'm up in North Vegas.
