| - After failed attempts in finding pediatrics offices with later hours and/or weekends, and, not to mention, we've had a few issues with our previous provider; I was happy to be able to make an appointment for my son at Sunrise Pediatrics. The appointment time they gave me worked perfectly with my schedule. When we arrived, the office was somewhat organized. We were probably one of the last appointments they had so I'm sure cleanliness was something the office staff would do after we left. Check-in was a breeze. We sat in the waiting room for the normal amount of time, but then we started to hear the front office staff talking about their personal lives, food, going out, etc. I thought to myself, gee, it would be a great time to start picking up the magazines and gathering up the pamphlets. When we got to the exam room, I immediately noticed the floors were quite dirty. There was dust everywhere (in the blinds, at the feet of the exam tables, paperwork needing to be replenished, signs mounted randomly). Going back to to the exam table feet...there needs to be some major cleaning. Who knows how long all the dirt and germs had been festering there. I also noticed the exam room was not equipped with a sink, but rather, a liquid sanitizer dispenser. The wait time was normal. Dr. Cruz came into the exam room and started to ask what I believe may be the issues. I give her my son's symptoms and she quickly was able to diagnose him. I expressed my concerns with his symptoms and my apprehension with medications, and she was able to reassure me that we are taking the proper treatment for him. She prescribed him medications and we were on our way. Sunshine Pediatrics will be our pediatric provider because their office hours work with my schedule. However, I do ask that more attention to cleanliness and some dusting can be at the top of the list.
Pro's: Amazing hours, short to normal wait times, attentive doctor (Dr. Cruz).
Con's: Dusty areas, dirty floors in exam rooms and tables, no sink in exam rooms.
