  • It's not uncommon for every 'hood to have their local new brewpub these days, but be mindful that not not all brewpubs are created equal. Mindful Brewing has an extensive draft list that includes both in-house brews, quality local drafts and even some wine. Food options that have been devoured include a grass-fed beef burger, Mediterranean salad, whole wings tossed in house-made green curry sauce, chicken 'n waffles, mac & cheese, and the roasted veggie wrap - all rising above your average bar food. Finally, despite being steps from a busy Rt 88, the airy space is industrial chic with high ceilings, two levels including a 2nd bar area and an outside zone with a TV for watching sports. And let's not forget the friendly, attentive wait staff. There seems to be mixed reviews, but I've had nothing but positive experiences thus far. MB is now in the mix anytime I'm out or near the South Hills.
