We went in to Circo at Bellagio as we had tickets to Cirque du Soleil "O". This is Italian food at it's finest! The pretty garish circus decor was a little over the top at first glance, however the excellent service and sumptuous food offerings soon distracted.
We began with a bottle of Chianti Reserva, as we had already had a cocktail next door at Hyde Nightclub, where we were dazzled by the awesome fountain show the Bellagio puts on regularly
We shared oysters on the half shell, as we do whenever we get the chance. They were superb. I don't recall the varietals. We shared a Caesar salad which was also nice.
My wife had the beef ravioli I had the roasted chicken. Both were delectable and as good as they sounded on the menu.
Circo is pricey, but hey, when you are dining at any fine hotel in Vegas such as we were at The Bellagio, you come to expect that. The important thing is that you feel you got what you paid for. We certainly did. Great food, attentive service, and just enough extra attention to be made to feel like it was with slashing out! Bravo!
