I wanted to try this place as it was very cute judging from their Instagram pictures. The place is small yet spacious and modern looking and we were quickly seated at the high chair tables on a Tuesday afternoon. My friends and I ordered the matcha serradura, matcha sago, and chocolate eggettes.
Presentation was really nice as they do put an effort in the look of the dessert. The dessert was soft and creamy with a type of matcha cookie crumble on top so I guess they have improved from the previous reviews. The chocolate eggetes were really good too and different from the traditional egg waffles at other places. That's about it for the positives.
For the price that we pay, they really skimp out on the fresh fruit. On the serradura, the fruits are miniscule two cm blocks (picture provided makes it seem bigger) and on the eggettes, there were 3 small slices of each fruit. The serradurra was also mostly cream and there may have been too much matcha powder that it made the whole dessert quite bitter. The same goes for the sago and in addition the sago was a little too mushy for my taste.
Overall, I'm unsure if I will visit this place again. I have tasted much better Asian desserts in Markham for the same price. I might go and try out the interesting colourful ramen, but we'll see Also, I suggest they put hooks on the walls or under the table especially for winter time as we had no where to put our heavy coats except for on one chair in the high seats.
