| - I enjoy outside dining wherever it's available. It's even more fabulous when you have the opportunity to sit atop of a high rise building in the heart of downtown Pittsburgh.
Seating here is first- come, first- serve, and you seat yourself. A fun place to go before attending any of the shows in the cultural district. Plenty of good drink and food options.
However, I must mention that my last visit became a bit puzzling when the server kept announcing it was going to rain. This phrase was repeated at least 5 times during our visit. My friend and I ordered our drinks and asked to see a food menu. His first response was :" It's going to rain".
The menus were delivered, and he re-affirmed that it was going to rain. Mind you, the rooftop was filled with other patrons. I finally replied that if it rains we will go inside. He replied that our tab would not transfer to the inside. He left and came back for our order and then announced that the latest radar shows a rain storm moving in. I finally said we will use an umbrella if we need to!
Our order was placed, an updated weather report was given, and before we knew it, our food was delivered within a timely fashion. We were very pleased with the presentation and taste of our food, along with the fact that we no longer had to worry or hear about the latest forecast. (By the way, the rain never appeared during our meal, but did so much later in the evening.)
Six Penn will still be on my list as the place to go for outside dining anytime I am attending a show, however, I might make sure there isn't a cloud or two in the sky before choosing to do so.
