This quaint little movie theater has actually grown on me. Sure it doesn't feature all the razzmatazz of theaters at Yonge-Dundas or the ones on Richmond, but it has a really charming, homey feel to it, and it's super close to my apartment. You get a great movie going experience without all the frills and the fuss.
The last time I went, though, there was a bit of a line...which thankfully moved quickly, but there was a rather grouchy lady who cut the line and ended up causing problems. She was going to see Skyfall, which we were going to see but decided against it for fear that she might blow up the theater. Instead we went to see Argo which was a great movie.
The seating in the theater is actually quite spacious and comfortable, and the actually movie-watching experience doesn't really seem diminished by the smaller screen and the old-school feel. If anything, the whole experience takes you back to those golden days when going to the movies was actually something people looked forward to and enjoyed -- rather than something that you used to fill time.
