The course it's self is great. The staff on the other hand is where I had a terrible experience. I booked a 1:33 tee time online which this time of year you'd barley be able to finish. I get to the course and am told my tee time is 1:51. I told them my tee reservation says it's 1:33 after the girl at the desk tells me I made the reservation for 1:51 I then pulled my phone out and showed her my confirmation shows 1:33 she then tells me my computer shows 1:51 I don't know how you show that on your phone. Again this was an email from them. She then proceeded to tell me it's only 18 minutes again I would like to finish my round. So the guy next to me says I have a 1:33 tee time but we only have 2 instead of the foursome he booked they then tell me it's my lucky day I can play with them. So we finally get to tee off at the scheduled tee time thanks to the guy that only had 2 show up. The round is then taking forever hit a shot wait 5-7 minutes hit another shot. I then realize there is a 5some 2 groups ahead of us and a 2 some in front of us. They all joined together on the final 3 holes slowing it down even more. Once the round is over I go into the club house to buy a shirt. I then preceded to ask they guy if they routinely send 5 somes out and he tells me NEVER. I said it happened today he then tells me no it didn't. I said well I was the one out there and there was a 5some maybe they joined together after the first hole. He then tells me it didn't happen again and they have marshalls that patrol it. I tell him again they had 5 in their group and that we never saw a Marshall all day. He then laughs and tells me that the Marshall was out there all day. Maybe he was but we never saw him. He still wants to argue with me that there wasn't a 5 some and even tells me they have gps in the carts that would alert the clubhouse if it did happen. I then show him the picture I took of the now 7some on the green and he tells me well that's the final hole. (Maybe I should have filmed the final 3 holes of the 7 some so he would have believed me) I asked him why would I make this up I'm just trying to inform you of the slow play and maybe in the future the marshalls can break it up. He then tells me once again the Marshall police it and that it didn't happen. As I'm walking out he then tells me I hope you have a better day in a sarcastic voice. I guess a simple I'm sorry that happened would go a long way instead of being meet with resistance and told I'm a liar. To bad this is a great course to play but this will be the last time I play this course and we vacation the the Phoenician every year. Next year we'll be taking our golf and hotel vacation elsewhere.
