Spoke with the rep on the phone who said we needed to get some additional shots before the interview. So took our puppy to the vet and got all the shots the vet required/permitted. Called to reschedule the interview process and a different rep said they still will not take our dog because his shots are not complete. Of course our vet will not administer any more shots for another month - until after we need our dog kenneled.
So besides a somewhat draconian immunization policy (I guess people with puppies shouldn't go on vacation), we were misinformed by the first phone rep and are a faced with finding a kennel on very short notice. As a business owner, its clear the employees are poorly trained. I guess its better to find out in this manner than with some mishap regarding our dog.
