I love supporting local businesses, and I love the concept - the fresh donuts you can customize named after famous artists, the ipad ordering, the art on the walls (from local schools mostly), the cool giant chalkboard in the back room. The decor is slick and nice.... but the donuts just don't deliver.
YES, they are good, because fresh fried dough covered in sugar? Is always good. But they are a bit pricey ($1.50 for the variations they have, and a bit more to customize) and small for that price. They definitely use quality ingredients, but if I want to pay premium for basic (albeit tasty) donuts, I'm heading to The Local Donut or Shortleash Donuts.
I think they could also offer more pre-set flavors; I was puzzled that there wasn't a S'mores type of variation!
