| - It's been a really long time since I've been in Community Pharmacy, but there's a facial care brand that I've been wanting to try to see if honey will heal my acne (nothing else has tried, and at least if this is a bust, too, honey smells wonderful).
I wandered on over and was surprised to find such a large section for personal care, including makeup. I knew they had more than just supplements and vitamins, but I figured they'd maybe have a small aisle at best. So wrong I was.
There didn't seem to be any labeling on the beauty shelves, so it took me awhile to figure out where exactly to look because I wasn't familiar with any of the brands. The staff is super nice and helpful, though, so I'm sure I would have gotten walked right to where I needed to go if I'd had asked - I was having fun looking at all the products, though, and wasn't in any rush so I just took a couple of loops through the front of the store.
When I found the face wash I wanted, it looked like it had possibly been opened. I brought it up to the register and the woman was happy to go to the stock room to find me another bottle. Both of the items I purchased were less expensive than the retail prices listed on the maker's website, which was a nice surprise.
Community Pharmacy operates as a cooperative - their mission is painted on the wall in the personal care area and states that there are no managers or owners - things are decided as a group. Kudos to them for working everything out to run a successful shop with happy, helpful staff!
