| - We stayed at Embassy for our "babymoon" in November 2016. Our room wasn't ready on time, so we were given vouchers to the bar. As I was pregnant, that gesture fell a bit flat, especially after a very long day of traveling. Our room was nice and spacious, though the kitchen had nothing useful in it- no utensils, papers towels, plates, nothing. Not sure why such a large space was devoted to a kitchen if nothing is in it. We could have used utensils and napkins, at the very least.
We dealt with the staff in the bar/restaurant mostly: Bernie was perfectly nice and brought up our room service one night. Nathan the bartender was amazing and kept making me non-alcoholic drinks so that I got to enjoy the nightly reception. He was a skilled, friendly bartender, and we enjoyed seeing him each night. The breakfast buffet gets busy but the omelette station was worth it- the chef did a great job.
Housekeeping left a lot to be desired: they ignored a note requesting an extra king pillow (I was 8 months pregnant and needed more pillows to get comfortable), they also left a long strand of hair in phone cord. Unbeknownst to us, the alarm was set for 6am and went off our first day (after a 16 hour day of traveling). Another day, they left us a towel short. The same day, they made the bed terribly- it immediately came untucked. We remade it ourselves and it magically stayed in place.
The front desk was hit or miss: following the ignored pillow request, we called the front desk at 830pm for a pillow, and no one came despite their assurances that they'd deliver it. We tried again the next night at 9:30 and had a pillow and towel (because housekeeping short-changed us that day) in 10 minutes.
All in all, hotel was a good location and decent price, but be prepared for headaches along the way if you stay here.
