  • I've been taught to start with something nice.... leave your negative comments.... and wrap it up with something nice. OK, here goes - Vince at check in was a lovely person. Very friendly, helpful and nice. It was a great way to be welcomed to the resort. (There was a older, blonde woman when we walked in who I believe was the concierge, and she didn't even look at us so I can see how Vince needs to make up for the shortcomings of his co-workers.) The resort itself is nice and the fact that there's a Starbuck's right in the lobby is fantastic. The gift shop was also well stocked with a lot of unique items. It was hard to find the entrance and where to park to check in. It was a little weird because even though you're not supposed to park in the thoroughfare in front of the lobby, there was a car parked there - there wasn't a bell boy or anyone to ask that person to move their car and not block the entry. And, once we parked and walked down to the lobby to check in, we were almost hit by another car because the lighting in the parking lot areas are scarce and low-lit, and there isn't a walkway for guests checking in between the parking spots and the lobby entrance. OK, so we get checked in and find our room and are pleasantly pleased. The room is updated and comfortable and quiet. We slept great all 4 nights that we were here. Another individual who was great was Amanda at The Falls. She is a hard worker and gave us wonderful service. We were also pleasantly surprised by the high level of customer service we experienced with every employee that we encountered (although there was a certain concierge who also wasn't very pleasant on the phone... I wonder if she's the same older blonde woman from when we checked in? Perhaps there needs to be a concierge who actually likes people on staff.) Overall, I wanted to give this Hilton 5 stars. They're trying. BUT, I can't. I had to ultimately take a star away because.... I believe that they are trying to elevate this establishment to a "resort". However, the fact that any type of security is nonexistent is troubling. Just as other reviewers mentioned, we too noticed people smoking in and around the adult pool area. AND, even though there is clear signage that states no outside coolers and beverages around the adult pool, there were A LOT of coolers and outside beverages. Including glass beer bottles which aren't safe. The kicker was when a self-proclaimed DJ came into the adult pool area and set up his Beat box and started playing rap music and handing out his business cards. WHAT??!! Sadly, that's when I realized that I most likely wouldn't stay here again. And I loved the restaurants and the rooms.... But I didn't get a warm, fuzzy, resort feel from the DJ, glass beer bottles and coolers at the adult pool. There should be roving security just to uphold rules and make an appearance if only for peace of mind sake. And yes, they do have some "Gender Neutral" bathrooms since that seems to be particularly important to Yelp right now... OK, to wrap up with something nice - I think this resort is 90% there. There just has to be a few tweaks to get it from a Motel 6 pool atmosphere to a true resort. And I think Hilton is capable of that. This could be an impressive, brag-able property and I hope one day it reaches its' full potential.
