| - Having to put a beloved pet to rest was the hardest thing I have ever had to do. Anybody who has gone through this, knows all too well how hard this choice is. We insisted on having it done in-home, so our beloved dog, Rocko could be in the comfort of our home. We called to schedule a Saturday appointment, but ended up cancelling a day or two prior. Lap of Love was so understanding and even excited that we were going to be getting more time with him. Unfortunately, by the following Monday, he took a turn for the worse and I had to re-schedule another appointment for Thursday evening. The veterinarian Jen Walker, was amazing, she met Rocko, interacted with him and truly formed a bond with him before the euthanasia. She spent an hour with us in total and explained every step of the process beforehand and provided us with many hugs as well. We never felt rushed. She provided us with a clay paw print before leaving and some of his clipped hair. She allowed us to carry him out to her car and take our time saying our goodbyes. She covered him in a plush blanket and again, allowed us to say our goodbyes before driving away.
Having to go through such a painful experience, this beautiful service was much appreciated and truly brought me an enormous amount of peace. I highly recommend Lap of Love, and will use them again.
