My springtime home for baseball, Peoria Sports Complex is the BEST spot.
The stadium is in really great shape, having had some updates a couple of years ago. Seats are comfortable and roomy and pretty much every spot has a great view. I've been to several other stadiums in AZ and, so far, Peoria is by far the most superior. Food is actually pretty decent and they have several local places that come in and sell snacks as well. The store is gigantic and has all sorts of great merchandise - both regular season and spring training themed.
Prices for tickets have gone up a bit in recent years, but they are still reasonable for spring training ball. (As an aside, you should compare the prices with those at the SF Giants stadium...you'll laugh at how much they expect you to pay for a practice game) One tip for those of use pasty PNWers: when you call for tickets, ask for seats located in the shade. You'll be glad you did!
Go early (and I mean early) over to the practice fields and you might just meet a few players. I met Dan Wilson and Charlie Furbush on my last visit, while I met James Jones and Jesus Montero the year before. Felix came out and signed tons of autographs and spent a lot of time with the fans as well. If you're interested in getting up close and personal with the players, this is the place to go. It's also fun to watch the practices spread across several fields.
My one complain is the parking lot and traffic around the stadium. It seems like the infrastructure really doesn't support the number of cars that come into the stadium lots and traffic can easily back up onto surrounding streets. The lot is also huge and it can be a loooong walk to the park if you don't get there earlier enough.
Overall, I really can't recommend this place enough. It's a fabulous place to watch a game. Go Ms!
