 | - when i read on the side of a green trolley that RTA was voted best public transit in North America, it made me think. if you think about it, clevo isn't really the type of town that fully utilizes their public transit. most people drive themselves around this town because it's so spread out. clevo isn't just the city proper, but the city and its suburbs and suburbs of suburbs and suburbs of suburbs of suburbs.
ya follow me?
anyhoo, i made a new year's resolution. it's something i've been meaning to do for awhile now for various reasons. environment, monetarily, and traffic wise...i wanted to start riding RTA. so i did.
i'm a bit torn. not that RTA is bad, it certainly is not. but it's not as heavily used as in other places around the country. and because the city is so spread out, prior to my moving, it just wasn't an option i could do.
overall, i'm not sure if i'd made my life easier since switching over to public transit for my main commute. it's a little less easy to find than in other cities. i will admit that. but eh. sometimes i dont' feel as safe, too. but most likely that's because it just doesn't seem as heavily used as in other cities. heavily used? um...i just made RTA sound like a dirty prostitute.
not what i meant.
i guess anywhere where there's a little less people loitering around it may not be the best option.
however, rta ain't bad. pimpin' ain't easy.
what the hell am i talking about?
pimpin' and prostitution. and public transit.
damn, alliteration AGAIN. its like a disease.
how appropriate. disease for the pimps and the prosties.
dang. i'm done.
i'm not sold on RTA being the best in North America. really, folks? in *north america*? including saskatchawan?
hmm.
it's not horrible. but best in north america? not really. a solid 3 1/2 stars on my experiences thus far. i've had worse experiences, i'll say that. and i could take some happier people on the bus. i said hi to the bus driver the other morning and he barked back at me. that wasn't cool.
