| - So, you're driving along what many think of as a veritable desert of quality refreshment and suddenly you see this tiny oasis. Is it real? Could it possible be good? Should I stop?
Yes. Yes. And YES.
Like most Yelpers I love supporting local businesses and on Rt 82 in North Royalton semi-hidden in a tiny tiny strip mall is The Real Deal, MugShotz. Others have described it pretty well. One Yelper said it wasn't "cozy or well-decorated" and that's probably accurate. What it IS, though, is spotlessly clean, well-laid out, and cozy enough that I wouldn't mind hanging there for a bit.
Got a latte and a muffin. I was SHOCKED at how good the latte was. If only my last few from Clusterbux were as good as this one. Even Ms Picky--otherwise known as Mrs. S--thought it was great. Saved the muffin (not made on premises) for later.
So, why did I give this place 5 stars when the ONLY thing tried was a latte? Because it was quite obvious to me the really nice people honestly wanted to give you great service and the highest quality products. Sure, that should be a given with a small business right? Well, we both know that's not always (often?) the case. So, while I think it's silly to rate a place that highly on one drink I'm optimistic about future experiences being just as good. If I'm wrong then we'll change it. But for now these fine folks get the benefit of the doubt.
Hey, fellow Rt 82 travelers, it's no longer necessary to wait for the larger oasis (oasises? oasii? Oasiseses?) in Strongsville or Brecksville, you can stop at a really cool place in North Royalton, get something yummy and be on your way.
(Pictures aren't great and I'll try to post better ones soon.)
