Bought an artichoke day before yesterday at Sprouts. Cooked it yesterday. The water turned out bright green. It appeared to have been dyed. I mean, the water was green like a dyed Easter egg. I have been cooking artichokes for many years and have never seen this. I took a picture of the water color and walked into Sprouts today to show the manager(I've never done something like this before). As the manager was looking at the picture I said they must have been sold some dyed vegetables by one of their suppliers. He admitted he's never seen water green like that before but assured me it wasn't dyed. I walked out of the store wondering. Wondering if maybe I should check out Whole Foods.
