I had higher expectations than what Hotel Arts was able to deliver.
The place is full of stairs, so you can't do simple things like take a cart to the parkade (stairs to get to the elevator that services it), or even to your room. I'm not into tipping someone to help me carry my stuff because it's difficult for me to do it myself, taking three trips back to the cart left in the middle of the hallway above some stairs.
Our room didn't have a full length mirror, just a small mirror above the bathroom sink. That was annoying because we were dressing up for a wedding. Our room also didn't have a fridge.
There is not hot tub, no change rooms, and the pool is only open seasonally, though it looks lovely.
Parking is paid, even on weekends, at a rate that was surprisingly high for weekend-Calgary.
The artwork throughout was fun and the bar next door was also nice.
All in all, a Best Western or similar would provide a better experience for a better price.
