Fun story: When I first googled where this restaurant was, I thought I was directed to the wrong city because of the bodies of water and seafaring street names that appeared on my map... Summerlin's a completely foreign territory to me considering Henderson is more my home turf, haha.
We visited during the evening for a friend's birthday dinner. You first walk in through a wine shop in order to get to the restaurant area, which overlooks man-made Lake Jacqueline if you opt to sit outside. Not much of a view at night, but I'm sure it's picturesque during the day (did someone say brunch??) The ambiance is classy -- the patio was covered, fireplace and heat lamps in full effect. It was nice. Made me feel like a fancy pants.
Service pretty solid. The complimentary bread and butter was served hot and fresh. Our party of 6 shared the charcuterie platter as our appetizer which was okay. I had a glass of moscato and it was very sweet. I'm not much of a wine person, so this was perfect. For my entree, I ordered the Exotic and Wild Mushroom Risotto which is $16 for a half-size. The mascarpone cheese was creamy and the mushrooms a good balance to the risotto's consistency. My boyfriend got the Braised Beef Ravioli, also half-sized, but he finished his portion rather fast. I tried a small bite and it tasted rich. For dessert, we shared the lava cake which was okay. We had a couple bites of the creme brûlée which we both agreed was way better.
