I am a recently retired physician, who tends to be critical of my peers if they do not put their full mental efforts into diagnosis and treatment. With this in mind, I can unequivocally recommend Dr. Reese if one has a problem related to his specialty. He listens carefully, examines you appropriately, is thoughtful and follows through. He is also one of the rare MD's today who still work in a hospital in addition to his office practice.
I saw one review that criticized him for prescribing an "expensive" brand name drug and refusing to prescribe a generic. I must say that there is usually a GOOD reason for a Dr. to take this approach, since NOT all generics are truly equivalent to the efficacy of a branded drug - no matter what a pharmacist may tell you. There are LOTS of potential reasons, like the way in which a tablet is glued together and where is dissolves in the G.I. tract.
Another review criticized his office staff, claiming they are rude. I did NOT find this to be the case at all.
Never be dissuaded by your perception of a Dr's. personality - apparent friendliness can be very misleading, and apparent aloofness may simply reflect intense concentration on the part of an MD. Dr. Reese is a VERY well trained and most competent physician. I saw him this past week, and I speak as a patient, not only a colleague who knows of his expertise.
