I'm a vintage-hunting, thrift-seeking addict and recently made the one-hour trip to Champaign to check out some of what the city had to offer. I specifically came with the intention of stopping into Dandelion and it did not disappoint!
The place is small, but packed with so much! Thankfully, everything is organized by color and clothing type so I didn't feel too overwhelmed. The selection was outstanding - everything from the 40s to the 80s is represented here. I walked away with a gorgeous 50s-era square dancing skirt and 70s-era denim gaucho pants.
Prices were what I expected for vintage clothing in good to excellent condition, especially pieces that might be harder to come by in most thrift stores.
The woman behind the counter was super friendly and helpful and made me feel welcome. Living in Chicago for many years, these types of shops usually have employees who make you feel like they're "too cool" to help you out and make you feel intimidated, but not here.
It's a good thing I don't live in the area, or else I'd be in this shop every chance I got and my wallet would be A LOT lighter!
