| - We ordered shutters for 2 small windows in May of 2016 and scheduled the install for June 28 at 3 PM.The installer called at 3:10 and said he was just finishing a job and was 45 minutes away.He finally showed up at 5:40 and we were assured by Ed that the installer would wear booties as he was working on carpet.Did not have booties. He installed 1 set of shutters which are still rubbing as the stiles are too long and proceeded to install the 2nd set of shutters. He put them together in the room and it was too big.He told me he will make it work.He wanted to borrow a vacuum cleaner as he was going to cut it on the carpeting. I told him this was unacceptable that he would have to cut outside.I was later informed by Ed that I was hard and heavy on his guy for wanting this. I called again to see when the second shutter would be ready and was told July 7 at 2PM.On July 7 at 2:30 the installer called and said he would be another 1 1/2 hour .At 4 PM he finally showed up.As he was bringing in the shutters,I noticed a chunk out of the side of one of the shutters.I informed the installer I am not accepting a damaged product. He loaded it back in the truck and left at which point I called Ed.He said to me "what did you do,run him off",and then Ed told me it was on the outside and would not be seen.So instead of Ed giving me a courtesy call,he tried to sneak in a damaged product. He now informed me it would be another 6 weeks.6 weeks later on the 22nd of August I had to call again and was told it just came in yesterday and could be installed at 10:00.The installer came at 10:30,the shutters fit in the window opening but we asked for split tilt shutters. The installer then took a dremel saw to cut the tilt and ran the saw into the finished product which he tried to cover with touch up paint. So to sum it up,if you want open miter joints, shutters that rub when opening, chronic lateness, excuse after excuse, this is the place to go.Oh and by the way,at no time did the installer ever have booties although I was told it is mandatory. The name says it all.
