  • Downtown Summerlin seems to have taken its cues from Scottsdale Quarter along with their attempt at a more higher end theater such as IPic. We had wanted to try the theater for some time but noticed that they were not getting some of the better movies. I don't think they have worked out an arrangement with Red Rock with regards to rotating which theater gets the potential blockbusters so Regal Stadium 5 ends up with the lesser known / less popular movies. This past weekend we decided to go anyway. Compared to your typical theater the reclining seats are nice & very comfortable and the swiveling tray table is convenient. I certainly liked that you can pick your seats on line prior to arriving at the theater. Their food selection leaves much to be desired. To my dismay almost everything on their menu was fried so I thought pita chips & hummus would be safe- not. The pita chips were deep fried in what smelled like old nasty grease. Needless to say into the trash they went. They also have what appears to be a fully stocked bar but when inquiring about a martini was told that they don't serve them--something about not having the glasses??? If you're looking for comfortable seating and your mostly typical movie fare this is a great option. Me, I wasn't really impressed. Maybe IPic Theater just has me really spoiled!
