High roller friend had gotten my friend and I a room. I was down since it was on the strip and I've never stayed at Linq. Apparently, it's where Imperial Palace used to be and it smells like they kept the same ventilation system from then since the smoke is a bit much. Some of the smoke travels up there to your room on the 19th floor. Or they don't regulate people from not smoking in their room. I get it, it's a budget type of hotel. But if you get non-smoking, it should be that. And the A/C is pretty crappy.
And to top it off, the housekeeping staff apparently accidentally threw away one of my friend's brand new shirt with new tags with his shoe boxes, so he had to use plastic bags to cover his new shoes when we packed up to go home. Still waiting to hear back from risk management. When we initially had called up for security, they never came up, we actually had to go down to the concierge to address. So be cognizant of your items because they may accidentally throw it away. I should know better than to trust a place tied to Guy Fieri.
