I stayed at The Saguaro 2 years ago and remember it being just okay, but I recently stayed here again for 2 nights due to points and feel my overall impression of the place was basically the same...
Pros - 2 pools. Pet friendly (no fee). Location. You're in the middle of old town and really can't get a better location if you want to walk to bars, restaurants and shopping. All rooms have a balcony/private patio area.
Cons - the place is just dingy which makes it feel dirty, like really dirty. The bed is loud. There's a $22/night "resort" fee, which they charge tax on so it comes to $25/night. You WILL hear your neighbors. Bathroom is tiny, dated and has a sliding door offering little privacy.
I think depending on what you want, this isn't a terrible choice, but I definitely don't think it's worth more than $100/night.
