| - There are three Targets that we shop: Waterfront, Shadyside, and occasionally Monroeville. For our three-year-old, this one is nick-named "small Target."
CONS: Even though square-footage-wise this Target must be the about the same as Waterfront, they have taken out 1/3 of it and put in grocery. However, they did a really BAD job on the grocery part. Unless you really cannot make it over to TJ's or Whole Foods in the same trip, which are literally two minutes away, I guess you could pick up a few things here, but the selection is very poor.
As for the rest of the store, they have a really weird selection. My sister used to work for TGT, and they have some regional assortment programs, and I think this store is on one of them. For example, the summer seasonal section was not only cut in half, but it also had different things than our other two stores. For example, it had this outdoor couch without cushions included for $99. Waterfront, Monroeville, and online had the same couch with cushions for $179. Weird. Is it because the area is lower income or has more college students or doesn't like a cushioned behind? That's for TGT corporate to know, and you to be paranoid about, I guess.
PROS: Location. I don't care what's in the store. We love Target, and if you put one a mile from our house, we're going to shop there. Thank you for not making us go to the Waterfront.
Covered parking garage. Hey, it's raining. Target's "got you covered."
