  • Ruck and his crew are amazing. I had a small tattoo that I wanted, nothing fancy, just something personal to me in celebration of my first novel, and I always thought it would be cool to get one in Vegas since I've really grown to love my visits there. I was afraid that many of the big artists in such a fancy town wouldn't want to bother with something so plain. Unlike several other tattoo shops there with spotty Yelp reviews, I was impressed by the reviews for Black Spade and contacted them through Yelp. I wrote in about a month ahead of time since we would only be in Vegas a few days just to see if it was possible to do such a small tattoo. I got an answer almost immediately. I explained what I was looking for and the size and got a very reasonable price and an appointment time. The shop is clean and all the people there were friendly and awesome while I waited. It was the first time my husband had come with me for a tattoo and he was extremely impressed with the professionalism and courtesy shown to all the people coming in. For those going there that aren't from Vegas, there is one confusing bit. The business address is 6th street since that's where the mailboxes for the complex are, but the door is actually on East Carson. There's a good parking lot close by in the shade though...always a good thing in the desert! Ruck himself was a wonder. Funny, awesome artist, professional, and al around nice guy. He had taken my suggestion from the email, gone out, and found several different fonts in different sizes for me to choose from before I even got there, one of which was absolutely perfect. In short, I love my new tattoo, and it's exactly what I wanted. I am seriously considering going back and getting something a little bigger next time we visit! I highly recommend this shop. They will put you at ease, treat you well and make sure you're taken care of. In short, King Ruck and the crew at Black Spade are AWESOME!!!!
