  • The hotel is going through remodeling, which is fantastic. However, what I do not appreciate is finding out that I am being scammed in addition to any transportation organization/ individual. Have you heard of the "cookie"? Tonight was my first night outside of the yummy delicious bakery made... There were no cabs or personal drivers available but I decided to wait outside for a brief moment after grabbing my bag from the hotel staff. I was told I needed to wait inside and they would notify when when someone came. Sure enough... less than 3 minutes and a cab pulled up. I thought the staff was being gracious and gave them 7 CAD. Come to find out the hotel staff charged the cab 10 CAD as a "cookie". I could have saved the cab and myself the trouble by staying outside for just a couple of minutes. This is a forewarning to others, the hotel is off a major street.
