I really love this place.
Not sure if it's mandatory but ideally you should reserve a spot online in advance. Once you arrive at the studio you check in on one of the tablets and pick up spinning shoes (included in the price). There is a cozy (read: small and you'll bump into someone) locker area you can put away your belongings and put on your spinning shoes. The lockers come with locks so no need to bring your own.
You can pick up a reusable bottle of water and choose between cold or room temperature water. A very nice touch.
You enter the studio and look for the bike you reserved and turn on the monitor so your ride can start being logged. The name you used when you signed up online will appear on the screen and you're good to go. There is already a clean towel at your bike.
The classes are tough but not impossible. I've gone to a wine down Wednesday, Friday happy hour, classic and connect classes. (Wine classes are the best-you get a small cup at the end). I would recommend any of them except the connect class I really didn't enjoy. The connect class was primarily standing in the bike and doing various moves which is tough for me, others may enjoy it. The other classes had more variety of moves and more balanced between seated and standing and better suited for my fitness level.
At first it's a bit weird to get used to your name being on a screen at the front of the room comparing you to the rest of the class but I eventually started to enjoy seeing my progress. I like how the instructors use it as a tool to make you push harder and not to point out the best/worst in the class. I also like when they do mini races where each row competes against each other or the whole class has to reach a certain RPM. Towards the end of the class you do some arm work using a 4lbs or 6lbs bar.
I think people of all fitness levels would enjoy this studio and I've been quite impressed by the instructors. I highly recommend it.
