  • What a bagel is a legendary Toronto bagel chain with locations throughout the city. The beauty of this restaurant concept is that every location is different. I.E. The Westmount location has a full sit-down menu and the Bathurst/Wilson location serves shawarma and falafel. The York Mills location has been one of the busiest take-away restaurants in the area for over a decade. What sets this location apart is the salad and bagel bar. Grab a bagel fresh from the oven, choose your spread, and top with fresh veggies and/or smoked salmon. Alternatively, design your own customized salad with over 20 ingredients to choose from. My go-to sandwich is the everything bagel with light cream cheese, topped with cucumber, tomato, onion, and a sprinkle of salt and pepper ($3.50 + tax). It all comes together to make a heavenly combination. The lox, tuna, egg, and chicken salad are all to die for, as are the baked goods. Enjoy!
