| - We were greeted warmly on arrival at the opening time of 5PM, seated at our reserved table, and quickly briefed on the specials. The interior is much as I remembered it from years ago: somewhere on the kitschy-retro spectrum, which adds to the charm if you like that sort of thing. They still feature live flamenco music later in the evening, but we didn't stay this time. Despite the friendliness of the servers, I can't overlook what came out of the kitchen.
I ordered Scallops Cartagena, which arrived in good time, swimming in a thin curry coconut sauce with a side of rice and vegetables. Good portion size, artless plating. The scallops were a tad undercooked, and so were the carrots, which were hard and chewy. Hence, the "Meh." I wanted to write a more positive review after being away so long. Sigh.
