  • I was referred here by my pediatrician for my daughter. The building was clean and nice and the office was easy to find because it was right off the elevator. I was taken back by the crazy kids in the waiting room when we first walked in. That is in no way their fault, but kids were running around and even throwing things. Obviously a parent issue. When I approached the front desk I had to wait for the person in front of me. When she was done I wasn't even greeted with a hello. Just a "Sign in and I need your license and insurance card". I signed in and handed her my cards and she said she would call me back up when she was done scanning them and gave me paperwork without ever looking up to greet me. I thought it was rude but moved along. I was called up and again not greeted just told this is how much you owe please slide your card. I was given my receipt and my cards, nothing else was said which I thought was weird. We were called back pretty quickly by the M.A. who continued to call my daughter a he which really pissed me off when it continued after I corrected her. Her questioning in the room was short and she, like the front office staff, seemed as though she really didn't want to be there. The doctor came in and was a breath of fresh air. She was very nice and understanding and answered a lot of our questions. She said we should follow up in 6-9 weeks and to make an appointment at the front desk or call and schedule one. We walked out without a word ever being said to us. I'm not even sure where I would stop and make an appointment if I needed to. We left the office and as we waited for the elevator could see the staff looking at us and talking. My suggestions are this. You never know who works in the medical field or what people do for a living or experiences they have when they come to your place of work. These girls all had no idea who I was or that I am a nurse and have worked for banner twice. Their attitudes are shameful and the way they treat their patients is both sad and worrisome. I will not return to this office again, even though I liked the doctor, because the level of respect these people have is far below my standards. Especially as a medical professional. Look up and smile and say hello once in a while. Maybe next time it's the CEOs wife and kid that you are rude to.
