It's a bit hard to review an airport because of the wait times (lines) that we all experience here sometimes.
I've been here on two separate occasions. The first time here was back in June 2017 even before I knew I would be moving to Cleveland (I moved to Cleveland in August 2017). I drove from Columbus to Cleveland to catch a flight to Seattle via Frontier Airlines because Frontier had cheaper flights to the west coast. In addition, there is no Frontier Airlines location in Columbus, Ohio.
I arrived in Cleveland and parked in the "red zone" and it was pretty expensive. I think I paid $14 a day and I was parked there all weekend. I remember that I had issues with paying with my debit/credit card but finally my card went in and I was able to park. I literally was trying to put my card into the slot for about 15 minutes and I was nervous I would be late for my flight. I recommend getting here EARLY if you are looking for short term parking. The "brown zone" area which is a little further away from the airport entrance was FULL so I had to pay extra and park in the "red zone".
I remember being very frustrated finding parking especially when I did find parking (I succumbed and paid more at the "red zone") the airport customer service person (not a live person but phone) wasn't very helpful when I said that my card wasn't working even though I knew I had money in my account.
There were signs around the airport for parking but sometimes if you are new to an area and unfamiliar with the parking situation then minor stress results. Perhaps more parking spaces can be created?
After returning from Seattle, my car was safe and sound and I drove off back to Columbus on a Monday.
My second time here was in May 2018 and it was a much smoother experience. I called a Lyft driver from work (downtown Cleveland) and I got a lift to the airport. This is much cheaper than parking your car at the airport itself. I was here on a Wednesday afternoon on May 16th and heading to the east coast for my sister's graduation. Surprisingly, the airport was slightly busy for mid-week but I moved through the security line within 10 mins. Flying American Airlines to Washington D.C. was a smooth experience. I had no issues.
