  • I love shopping at Goodwill, but this particular location is always an adventure. I've been going to this location for years and I gotta say, the employees working there lately have been unprofessional. Recently I went there to take advantage of their half price day sale (which is not something you want to do unrested, my bad). On top of the store intercom speaker going off seemingly every minute for staff related requests (price changes, etc), the employee speaking into the intercom had to SCREAM with the most IRRITATING voice I've ever heard. With technology advancing, you'd think the large company would provide walkie-talkies or some other form of communication so customers don't have to hear the grating voice of the employee for a price change for $9.99 (THAT'S 9 DOLLARS AND .99 CENTS, as she felt the need to clarify loudly). When I got to the check-out, the SLOW AS MOLASSES cashier (African-American woman) greeted me tiredly and sllllllowlllllyyyy took the hangers off the clothes I was purchasing. While doing so, she looks over at her co-worker running the register behind her and says "girl, I do NOT feel good". Great, thanks for coming to work to potentially get all of us sick! She then told me that my total was $15, so I paid with my card and was surprised when I got home and looked at my receipt to see $18 :) On a more positive note, I do want to say that a very nice employee (thin, tall guy with gauges) has helped me at this location on many occasions. Once, while shopping there, I accidentally dropped a tiny glass trinket on the floor, shattering it. Embarrassed, I looked around for help and the thin, tall guy with gauges comes by with a broom already in hand and says "no worries! I got it". I offered to pay for it but he insisted it's no big deal. Great employee with good customer service skills. I just wish everyone else there were more like him. Overall, this Goodwill does have some nice merchandise at great prices, but you really gotta be in the right mood/mindset to deal with the insanity that happens there (I won't even get started with the time an unsupervised child tried to steal my shoe right off my foot while shopping there).
