Queen's park is home to many uses.
stroll along during the weekdays and catch students trying to jump ship from the university of toronto grounds which are adjacent to it across a small ramp to wellesley that bears no yield signs.
if you partake of a union that needs to take to the streets, needs to stick it to the governing leaders, you might find yourself cheering, jeering, perhaps even singing around the parliament building in queens park that takes command of the space so monolithically.
or perhaps you are a festival goer. perhaps you love to read and you feel like perusing through a few billion books on a hot summer day and you might find yourself in the midst of Word on the Street. OR should you have little kiddies that dont read or dont like to but prefer, as is natural enough, to bang on drums and dance around with wild abandon you might have to stop your kid from jumping on stage with an african drummer moving at lightening speed and stirring up the spirits inside your little timmy.
and yet, if you are just a flaneur in search of a good spot to delve into a little tolstoy, then again, youve come to the right place as there is much grass and many benches and picnic tables to use, where you can sit and bounce your ideas off of those bronze guys affixed on those horses sporadically dressed in bird poop.
