Creamy and packed with flavor...does that interests you?...Welcome to Japanese Curry Zen.
I was so surprised at my first bite of curry...SO GOOD!
Our family ordered Curry Pan and Fired Oysters to start things off. Curry Pan is like a giant fried dumpling with curry flavored vegetables inside. The oysters were crispy outside but still fresh ocean flavor with fresh oyster texture inside.
Next, we ordered the Curry Udon with side of a fried egg (spicy level 7), Vegetable Curry with Chicken Katsu and Brown Rice, and a side fried egg (spicy level 7), Chicken Katsu Curry with a side of Croquette on white rice (spicy level 1). They rate spicy level from 1 to 10, and they have curry powder and red pepper powder on every table to spice up yours if you like and they also have Sriracha Sauce available for the asking.
We shared all our dishes and loved every bite. Katsus was cooked crispy and tender inside and croquette was such a hit that we almost ordered another one but decided to save room for dessert.
Japanese Curry Zen has a very casual setting with prompt service...we were in and out in about 40 minutes.
I will go back in a heartbeat to Japanese Curry Zen with more excitement than I had for the first visit knowing how great their menus is.
