| - I went to the office at Guadalupe and Val Vista this morning, and unfortunately, I had a rather bad experience. I've been to this facility several times, so my expectations were quite different. The young women at the front desk simply could not be any better at her job. She greeted and thanked everyone, and even offered me water while I waited and waited. Even though there were only two people in the waiting room, I wasn't taken back for an hour, and didn't see Rose, the nurse, I guess, for another twenty minutes or so. She told me to tell her why I was there and interrupted me after forty seconds to let me know that she didn't have much time. I feel terrible that I inconvenienced Rose this morning. It was also quite difficult to have her help me. I let her know that I was post surgical and completely off of opioids and was hoping there was something else I could take (I'm unable to take NSAIDS). She mentioned the DEA as if I asked her for heroin, but after it became apparent that I really expected some sort of medical treatment, she prescribed Lidocaine patches which I think might be helping a little. Rose had no reason to be less than kind to me, but she was. She didn't ask any questions about my pain or seem the slightest bit interested in me as a human. Obviously, I won't ever return, but someone should tell Rose that when people are hurt or sick, showing a little common empathy is what humans do. And shouldn't it be what good medical practitioners do?
