The only reason I'm not giving these guys 5 stars is because the table wait is typically long. Of course, that's just because lots of people want to go there to eat! Not much they can do, unless the next door neighbor moves out, I guess. The staff is great--friendly and have been there quite a while. I recommend the fried bologna sandwich on rye with Provolone or the smoked lox platter. Also, the corned beef sandwiches, and the omelets in the morning. When they have the split pea soup, it's very good, too. I often have friends tell me about their standing date on a certain day of the week to go to Weiss's, so I know it's a favorite for many.
