I usually shop alone and have gone here at night and it definitely isn't the best neighborhood, but I've never felt scared because there are plenty of people around. I used to avoid shopping at Albertsons at all costs but over the past 6 months or so I've become a really big fan. The Albertsons stores used to be very high priced and now, they lead the other grocery stores on specials! My old favorite, Smith's has fallen behind because they now ask for digital coupons on top of their card! Albertson's doesn't ask for anything! No special cards required and no digital coupon nonsense. Every week I compare the grocery ads and Albertsons keeps coming out on top with the best deals on the top brands. Unfortunately, their meat pricing is still lacking. I would have given them 5 stars but for this. They run specials like buy one get 2 free. For example, once when a pack of bacon was costing 1/4 of your weekly pay check, Albertsons ran a special, buy one get 2 free. What they fail to tell you is that one pack of bacon is over $10.00. Subsequently each ran over $3.00. They do this all the time with their meats. For me it doesn't work because there's just something about paying $36.00 for a package of ribs and getting 2 more free. Really, I don't need 3 of something. I don't have the room in my freezer or fridge. Several times they have run really good specials on their seafood and I have taken advantage of these. The seafood was fresh. I am also a really big fan of the employees at this store. Always very friendly and helpful.
