I used VWFW for both my pregnancies. I was going to switch providers after my first baby but decided since it was so close to work and home to give it a shot for the second baby. They are so fricking money hungry. Every single appointment they hounded me for a payment. I kindly told them that with my first baby, I made payments and ended up OVER paying and received a check. Since I was on such a tight budget this second baby I said I would only make $20 payments each time and I wouldn't make more since last time I overpaid. Plus why pay for services that haven't happened yet? Each time I checked in for an appointment they would call billing and have someone come talk to me. I would tell them what I do every time, I can make a $20 payment but can't pay more.
Well today I went in, 11 weeks post partum to check my IUD and my breast for possible mastitis. They REFUSED to see me unless I paid my balance in full. My balance was less than $200 by the way. I just got the final bill in the mail less than 2 weeks ago. I told them I had every intention of paying it in full once I get paid. Today was my first day back at work since leaving for maternity leave and I only saved enough money for groceries, current bills and my other daughters daycare. I don't have money set aside for these bills until I get paid. But they still refused to see me. Luckily I have a credit card in case of emergencies. Normally I would say screw you and have left but I needed to see a doctor.
Glad I did since I have full blown mastitis. I will not return to this money hungry business. I give 5 stars to Heidi. She is the greatest. And there is a nurse that does the blood pressure and weight who I love too (she has an accent). But I don't trust the VWFW business. I'll be finding a new OB.
Also, while I did like the doctor who delivered the second baby, one thing I really disliked and am pissed off about is she broke my water without asking me. I was in labor and had only been in labor a few hours at the hospital when she was checking me and asked the nurse for the device to break the waters. I really don't like that she didn't ask if it was ok to break my water. Subsequently, my daughter had a "failure to transition" from the womb to life outside and was on IVs and oxygen for a few days in the nursery. All my research suspects that breaking the waters too soon can cause this. I'm pissed.
