| - I would give it 5 but since I have only had their food twice that may be premature. We ordered take out once about a year ago it was OK, not memorable. In fact so forgettable I have no idea what we ordered, some combo plates probably. However, since the local Chinese places we usually went to have changed cooks or something and gone downhill, we thought we would try this one again and eat in this time. So glad we did! I got a new for me dish, Yu Hsiang Eggplant, something I had never ordered and normally probably wouldn't but the friendly ( and correct lol!) waitress recommended it. IT WAS DELICIOUS! Probably the best Chinese dish I have had in my long, long career of Chinese dishes. Crunchy carrots, broccoli, snow peas, ETC with melt in your mouth creamy eggplant in a sweet/ spicy garlicky sauce. ( not overpoweringly sweet like sweet and sour can be) that was so good I decided to plant eggplant in the garden so I could attempt it at home. ( Failed miserably so far so will have to get it here) The fried rice was good said husband, the soup was OK, not the best or worst I have had( won ton),the egg roll was OK said husband. I am trying to shed lbs. so I just got the soup, steamed rice and eggplant. But the eggplant was the star for me.
Very clean ( well, didn't use the restroom but the part of the place I saw was clean) and a modern Asian decor( IE I didn't see any gold dragons lol), owner was nice and the waitress we had is my new hero:). Not cheap but average prices and like most Chinese you get two meals for the price of one via leftovers so a pretty good value as well.
Yum, I made myself hungry and need eggplant Yu Hsaing from Asian Kitchen! So what if it's 8 am.
