  • My nephew had "done his research" and wanted to visit Klavons. I have been living in Pittsburgh for 10+ years and was sad to say I had never experienced it! He had done great research! You walk back in time, walking into this Ice Cream Parlor. From telephone booths to the candy - you defiantly walk back in time. I have now (thanks to my nephew who lives out of town) been here a few times. Who are we kidding - I come for the peanut butter ice cream. It is phenomenal. Everything is reasonably priced, the staff is great (even let us sample (not my under-aged nephew!) the beer ice cream! It can - at times - seem a bit unorganized - do they wait on customers or ring people out first? However, it's worth the wait. Everything from milkshakes, to cones (homemade waffle cones!) to floats to sundaes - they have everything you could dream of in relation to ice cream! If you are an ice cream lover - like myself - check it out!
