rev:text	I have mixed emotions about this school. First off my daughter's 2nd teacher apparently is only licensed and can only work a certain number of days. I'm finding this out half way thru the yr. I was told because they are understaffed. My kids have to take a bus at 741 when school starts at 855, so they go to bed at 730 and wake up at 630. Thats very early for elementary age, and the school has an extra 10 or 15 minutes in their day. But my daughter says she barley has time to eat her lunch or play at recess, so I'm assuming they shorten these for extended days. There had been several soft lockdowns at the school, which was confusing for my kids and scarey for me. The other day there was a hard lockdown at a school that they don't even drop kids off at and my kids where stuck on the bus untill 5pm. I went to get them and it was a hassle. If I had let them stay which is what they advised people they would have gotta home at 530 or 6pm. Way to late to walk home. The next day the bus driver had an asthma attack and my kids had to switch busses when the ambulance came. Smdh....this school has a good vision but I think the area and the organization is a little off. Not to mention it doesnt look good if there is no principal for 2 months at the beginning of the yr. I really want to transfer my kids back to the school by our house for there safety, but kit carson made us sign a contract the first day saying we would not be able to play any sports if we didn't finish out the yr. Sucks!!! Take your kids somewhere else for yours and their benefit!
