| - Over the past two weeks I have been looking for used cars, and ABC Hyundai was by far the worst experience that I had. The salesman was nice and the test drive went good, and everything else was good until it came to the negotiation part. I told the salesman and his manager that I had already been pre-qualified for my own financing, and that I did not want to run my credit again. They kept badgering me to run my credit but I told them that I did not need to, and that I was more worried about the price of the car. My offer was to pay their asking price for the car that was on their website, along with the doc fee, and tax title and license. They came back and said that on top of my offer that I also had to pay the "reconditioning fee" for the vehicle as well, which was the cost they had to put into it to make is sell-able (which in my opinion should be included in the price of the vehicle, not an add on). The reconditioning fee was $1800... which was the highest reconditioning fee that I saw while shopping at other dealerships. I do not believe that they actually reconditioned the car, and if they did it was nowhere near $1800. The tires were worn, the tint on the drivers window was partially peeling, scratches and dents were not touched up, and there was even a small hole in the fender. Also, there were some missing pieces/plastic inside the vehicle. They tried to continue to pressure me to make commitments before we even came to a deal, and they kept pressuring me to try to run my credit. They did not listen to how I wanted to negotiate, and I ended up walking out. I would not recommend to anyone to go to ABC Hyundai and even look at a car unless you like high pressure negotiation tactics.
