  • Since this Goodwill is just 2 miles from my house I stop in here every other month to donate or shop. The donation drive up is easy to use and the employees are always helpful. Joe was my favorite! Not sure if he is still there. This store is hit or miss with finds & pricing. Some things are inexpensive, while others are marked up too high. I stopped in yesterday for a quick shop & had a disappointing experience. I picked up a hat to look at and the price tag fell onto the floor. I set the hat back with the price tag inside for the next customer-- and an employee was passing me by, so I pointed it out. After I let him know the tag was not affixed anymore, he asked me if I was just going to leave it there. I was surprised that he didn't just say thank you or a simple "ok." I went back and forth with him because he started saying things like, "oh just leave your problem for me. " and "what are you going to do about it." The employee would not let up about me fixing the tag. I wasn't quite sure how to respond. I looked for cues that he was joking & he was smiling a bit. He pushed the tag through the hats woven material and said "there. I fixed your problem." At that point it didn't really matter if he was joking or not. His banter and manner with a customer, was just inappropriate. I called the store the next day to report my interaction. The manager apologized and said he would look into it and that maybe it was a misunderstanding. I am not sure how the very direct comments to me were a misunderstanding. As a customer, I have no obligation to fix a tag that fell off, or put up with an employee Hastling me to do something about the tag. It's hard because the employee at the cash register was friendly & upbeat, but I am still leaving 3 stars for the rude employee. I don't expect the greatest customer experience at a thrift store --- but I don't need to be treated poorly either. I hope they can remedy this & some of their complaints I see on yelp ---
