After gambling at Ceasar's all morning, I really wanted to have a good hot dog for lunch. We were heading to Pink's and walked by this place. We looked at the menu posted outside and much to my surprise they had an impressive looking selection of various dogs. Bingo! We were also intrigued by the decor and all of the sundaes on the menu. There was a wait (20 minutes) so we grabbed a beer nearby. We got seated in about 10 minutes and the waitress handed us menus but no hot dogs were featured on it. FAIL!!! I told them I wanted to order a hot dog and she informed us that it was Sunday and they have Sunday brunch and "this" menu until 2:00 (it was 1:30). I remarked that the menu posted outside listed a selection of hot dogs and asked if they could serve me one anyway. I got a very quick "NO." Not the way to do business folks. She should have checked with the kitchen before abruptly answering me. I am sure they could have done it. Any other time, we would have left but we were hungry. We ended up ordering wings to split and a sundae to split. The portions we were seeing looked enormous. Our wings arrived and they were very good. The wait on the sundae was beyond slow. I had to ask several times and she kept telling me it would be right up (I ordered a peanut butter sundae with hot fudge and marshmallow). In the midst of the wait, there was also a waitress change and I had to ask her to check on the sundae. FINALLY, the sundae came out and it was also very good. Portions were easily ample enough to split between two people. This place only gets 2 stars from me for their very poor customer service and the fact that although the food was very good, it was also very ordinary. Mediocrity is not a good combination with poor customer service. Won't be back here.
